Five more things you’d be surprised to learn about me

I hate talking on the phone and would rather text

I get really nervous and quiet on the phone, I never know what to say and often get tongue tied. Please just text me.

I hate getting my picture taken

I also hate taking my own picture, I think I look weird in pictures

I hate being stared at

It’s rude, open your mouth and talk

I hate when people assume I’m mean because of how I look

That’s just my face

Finally when people on the bus don’t give up their seats for the elderly or disabled

I will say something, that’s rude as hell

Five Books on my TBR List

My TBR list is huge and I must admit I tend to do a lot more re-reading, then first time reading and getting through my huge pile of ebooks. For the next month I am going to get through at least five books in my pile and I have already sent them over to my kindle so there will be no excuses.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

I heard good things about this series, the description sounds good so I will give it a try. If I like it, I’ll read the whole series..if not then at least I read this one.

Fragile Like Us by Sara Barnard

I’ve been wanting to read this since before it came out so I think this is the first one I will tackle.

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

been wanting to read for awhile

Out on the Net by Rick R Reed

this just sounds interesting

Here we are now by Jasmine Wanga

been on my list for awhile.

I will rate/review the books as I finish them.

Five online trends that need to die

In my humble opinion these are the five things that I am really sick of seeing/hearing about

Unicorn everything: I’m not sure if this started with starbucks making weird nasty tasting frappacinos or if it started on instagram. Can this end though? every time I get on twitter someone is making unicorn something, just let this die.

Eating non food items for followers/video views/attention: You can tell me that people weren’t eating tide pods and that it was a joke, but this “joke” caught fire and some people were actually eating tide pods…it got to the point where the news and tide had to put a warning on their products. That is just sad as hell.

Internet Challenges:  Why would people set themselves on fire and get in the shower quickly? an internet challenge and stupidity would be my guess. Start an challenge to do some good and raise money for a charity, something safe.

Blogging for money: I get it, I do. A lot of people make money blogging, actually they are making money selling their products on their blogs or from ads, not the actual blogging. Those “moms” posting the blue host links are getting commission from you buying your own domain name and space. There are other ways to make money online.

This last one isn’t really a trend it just annoys the hell out of me and that is Online bullying mostly as it pertains to mental health and/or transgender individuals. You don’t have to “get it” or understand don’t put others down for their choices.

Five Book Related Subscription Boxes I want to try

There is a subscription box for everything under the sun and I have tried a couple. I love reading, everyone who knows me knows this. I used to frequent the library but I find it is easier to avoid people if I read ebooks or buy paperbacks from amazon.

I would like to try these book related subscription boxes in the next couple of years (to be realistic, I don’t have extra money unless I work online);

My Coffee and Book Club: https://www.cratejoy.com/subscription-box/my-coffee-and-book-club/

I love coffee (would drink it all day if I could) and Books, It’s not that expensive either. Twenty two dollars a month. You can choose the genre or let them surprise you.

Chocolate and A Book: https://www.cratejoy.com/subscription-box/andbook/

This one ships from the UK and says fifteen dollars a month, has a lot of five star reviews. May have to put this at the top of the list.

My Thrill Club: https://www.cratejoy.com/subscription-box/my-thrill-club/

You can pick between three genres or be surprised, This one is only ten dollars a month. I don’t read many horror, Thriller or Mysteries (unless they are lighthearted). It’s on my list because its on the cheaper side.

My YA Reading Club: https://www.cratejoy.com/subscription-box/my-ya-reading-club/

For only ten dollars a month you get two hardcovers??? This is going straight to the top of my list. They have mixed reviews, but it looks like you get a movie with the books.

and last but not least

Bookish Book Clubs: https://www.cratejoy.com/subscription-box/bookishlys-tea-and-book-club/

Coffee & Vintage book club is ten dollars, Tea & Vintage book club is thirteen dollars and Classic is sixteen. If I subscribed I would get the Coffee one, has good reviews but I would probably try one of the above first.

Have you ever subscribed to a subscription box, Book or otherwise?

Five things that annoy taller then average people

As a female that has always been taller then my peers, there are some things and questions that get old after awhile. At age twelve being six foot I would answer the questions ; How old are you? How tall are you? Do you play basketball? With a smile. In my mid thirties, I have to say these questions are much more annoying now. I will still answer the How tall are you question when asked but in general I hate when I answer the Do I play basketball question as No I do not, the asker gets offended as if how dare I not.

Here are the top five things in general that annoy me.

– Being asked if I play basketball or volleyball.

When I was a kid I played basketball for fun, however when I entered high school I lost the interest. There are a lot of shorter females that are wonderful basketball players. A persons height shouldn’t determine whether they are good at a sport.

– Shopping for jeans/leggings/pants

I hate shopping for clothes, especially pants. I am 6’2″ and plus size, it is never a pleasant experience. They are always to short or long enough and tight.  I wish clothing companies would get with the program and realize women are not all cookie cutter sizes.

– Being asked how tall I am and/or Being told I am tall

I usually answer how tall I am when asked unless I don’t feel like being bothered. Sometimes I’m in a bad mood and don’t want to answer the height question, I don’t owe anyone anything. On the flip side someone stating I am tall is annoying as hell. When I am in a really bad mood I may ask you how short you are.

– After stating my fear of heights, being asked why I’m scared as I’m so tall.

This question is so dumb I’m not even going to explain it.

– Hitting my head on low ceilings, ceiling fans

If you know your house as ceiling fans and/or low ceilings, how about you warn me instead of letting me knock myself out.

Short entry, my laptop is officially dead but I just got a kindle fire. Planning on keeping the site updated

Five things I wish everyone understood ; Living with panic disorder

Honestly there are way more then five things but for this post I will keep it at five. I have been a sufferer of panic attacks since before I knew what they were. I was very young when I had my first one, by the time I was in highschool I was having them on a daily basis. I was officially diagnosed with panic disorder in my early twenties. The lack of education on mental health disorders is why so many people suffer alone, believing they are alone.

– I can’t just get over it:  When I am having a panic attack in public, it feels like the walls are closing in, like there isn’t enough oxygen on the planet. Unless I get away from wherever I am..I can not calm myself down. For me suffering from panic attacks is completely debilitating, at one point I was completely housebound and diagnosed with agoraphobia. Telling me to get over it, is like telling someone with a broken leg to get up and walk.

– Leaving my apartment is a Daily struggle:  I have in the past cancelled important doctors appointments just because I had a bad panic attack about getting on public transportation.

– I am not lazy/unmotivated/making it up:  Sometimes I wish the average person who says these things can spend a day in my shoes. It would be nice if people would try to understand but most only believe what they can see. Also people are ignorant assholes.

– irrational fears are a Daily struggle: I constantly look at the ground when I walk, I have fears about falling on the sidewalk, down the stairs, getting hit by a car. I have fears about being in a fire so I check multiple times that everything is off..that the door is locked. The fears aren’t limited to myself, they involve my family, friends and sometimes people I don’t even know.

_ It sometimes takes me hours to relax enough to sleep:  My SO falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow, I envy people like him. I lay in bed for hours over analyzing past decisions, why I’m still alive, if I will still be alive in three years when my son turns eighteen. By the time I finally drift off to sleep, it’s usually close to five in the morning.

There are so many more things that I wish people would get. If you don’t know what it’s like then at least keep an open mind when someone tries to explain.

Five things I am doing to make my life better in 2018

I really don’t make new years resolutions instead I make goals and stick to them, This year I am sticking to these five and taking one day at a time.

  1. Buy a planner: I am looking at these three and deciding which one I want to buy. one , two , three . I am indecisive between the first & second one.

I have a lot of stuff to keep track of, appointments with different doctors offices being the number one thing. I’d like to start planning meals for the week and also planning out blog posts. Probably going to use it to keep track of which survey company owes me money and who I am doing product tests for. I wish to make my life less stressful and help me get organized.

  1. Focus on my heath: I need glasses (I think this is the reason I am dizzy and getting so many migraines), I need to get back into mental health services, I’m sick of being in physical pain, ect.

I hate going to the doctors but I need to get my heath in order, this year I am going to focus on doing that.

  1. Cut people out of my life: I am the queen of chances, I give second, third, fifth, ect chances to people who frankly don’t deserve them.

Some people need to go and not come back.

  1. Have a positive attitude

I think this is everything, complaining about things you can’t change is not getting anywhere.

  1. Take one day at a time

Everything is listed as number one for the simple reason they are all equally important to me.

Five Things I Love ; Shopping Edition

I really like shopping in general but I don’t like crowds, loud people, annoying shoppers, little kids (and parents who let them run wild) so I would much rather shop online. I can order whatever I want and get it delivered to my apartment building. Today’s Five Things I love post is the top five websites I use to shop online starting with the one I use the most.

Amazon ; For a couple of years I just used Amazon to buy ebooks but then I started using the site to buy actual books after my move where I lost everything (including a lot of books i’ve had since childhood). I bought a bunch hard copies of my favorites and some new authors I enjoyed that I had ebook versions of. In October of 2016 I won an amazon giftcard from a sweepstakes I entered and I got a couple of toys for my nephew’s and Niece’s. From there I started ordering actual items (candy from China), Beauty tools, ect with amazon gift cards or paypal cash I earned from doing surveys.

LaneBryant ; I have to shop here, they are the only store that carries jeans tall enough for me and they carry plus size. I normally don’t buy clothes (jeans) online because if they don’t fit then its a pain to send back for a refund or different pair. I trust them enough to order online and know they will be long enough.

Payless ; They are cheap, always have things on sale and I love shoes. I am always on their website adding things to my wishlist.4

Bath & Body Works ; I have boxes of stuff from here, for awhile I had a shopping problem when it came to this site both online and in the store. I have a body butter addiction and a body spray one too, I have a problem. I like to smell good, sue me.

Rainbow ; I normally shop in store here but I always look at their website to find out what is on sale and what location the product is at.

Five Things I love; Online Edition

I am trying to come up with original topics to blog about while still keeping my blog somewhat personal, I know a lot of people online today like to make money with their websites but I have my own way of making money and getting things. If you follow me on twitter or have been reading my blog since I was at L0vestrukk.net you know how I get down. So I really like lists which is somewhat weird considering I am very unorganized offline and somewhat messy which drives SO up the wall but online I like to keep my stuff somewhat organized and in folders.

So for today’s Five things I love and Can’t live without post I am going to list products and websites that make my life easier online, for this website and other things.

  • Gmail: I have used a lot of companies for email (yahoo, hotpop, hotmail, msn, outlook) but gmail is still my favorite for the simple fact that I can make as many emails as I want. I have several gmail emails, I have my main one which I check daily and I use for surveys, sweepstakes and this site. I have my group/personal one which I use for an RTA group I am in and my book groups on yahoo, I have the one I use strictly for amazon and then I have my misc one that I use for everything else. I hated how gmail groups everything by conversation but I recently figured out how to change that in settings…it’s perfect.

  •  Core FTP:  Other FTP programs never seem to work for me so I keep trying them but end up going back to Core. The main reason is it’s 100% FREE. I like free.

  • CoffeeCup HTML Editor: I have always written HTML by hand but Notepad annoys me and this program is free also sometimes I make an error (we all do) and CoffeeCup catches it and lets me know.

  • Betternet VPN: I have a TV show and Movie addiction and sometimes I use torrents, this program which is also free blocks my IP address so no one can see what I am downloading. It is simply wonderful…

  • Canva:    A  lot of bloggers use this site and a lot of writers too, my list wouldn’t be complete would a mention of it. When I used to publish my novels on Wattpad I would use it to make ebook covers for my books. Now I use it to make twitter headers for my profile page. You can make just about any graphic you what using this site…they have a lot of premade things you can use for free and you can play around with text too.

That is it for my list of online tools, which online tools can you not live without? Leave your list in the comments.
